Twitter is so by far the biggest and most widespread status updating service on the web, but these days it is becoming more than just status updater with people sharing links, talking about their business or even asking advice. For example, you may be looking to buy a mobile phone but you are a little confused as to which one you should go for, so what would you do? Obviously my first answer would be to ask a friend. Now consider getting advice from a hundreds of people or friends who are following you within minutes. Just tweet about what you want and ask, which one you should to go for?, and you’ll be flooded with lots of responces in no time. I, myself, am a designer and sometimes I run short of ideas at that point twitter becomes a handy communication tool and for example I can ask my friends and followers about color schemes etc. The uses of twitter are unlimited, it’s just how you want to make use of it.
Here are a number of twitter related tools and websites I came across while browsing the internet. I hope these resourses will keep your finger on the twitter pulse by helping to improve your twitter productivity and help to further enhance your twitter experience.

www.rsstotwitter.com : As the name says this free service lets you send any blog feed entries to your Twitter profile as soon as your feed updates.
www.wefollow.com : This user powered twitter directory is based on #tags shared on twitter daily. However this project is still in beta testing but has a lot of potential to become a future success.
www.tweetvalue.com : This online tool is used to determine the value of your twitter profile in dollars. This is just a fun app don’t get serious and try to sell your twitter profile
www.strawpollnow.com : One of my personal favourites and a great tool for increasing productivity. Strawpollnow helps you make polls based on twitter & voting based on tweets you receive on that poll.
www.grouptweet.com : You’ll simply love this twitter service if you are currently running a group prjoect. Grouptweet helps you combine tweeting with other group members, more information available on website.
www.twemes.com : Another website catching tweets under #tags. Twemes allows you to see the hot topics being discussed on twitter.
www.tweetstats.com : Tweetstats lets you keep track of your twitter stats allowing you to see stats such as: how much tweets you do per hour or month, and offers other features such as being able to see a graph of reply statistics etc.
www.tweetburner.com : With tweet burner you can see stats about the links you are sharing on twitter.
www.twittervision.com : Strictly a fun app just to see in real time from where in the world all the tweets coming from.
www.twittearth.com : One of my favourite Twitter fun app. This real time 3D model of earth revolves with the incoming tweets and let you know from where that tweet came. They also offer free screensaver.
www.twittersearch.com : With twitter search you can search for anything on twitter.
www.twe2.com : I have been using twe2 for a while now and I feel this is a one of a kind twitter tool. By verifying your mobile number you can receive SMS updates for @replies or Direct messages on your twitter profile straight to your mobile phone.
www.twittley.com : A digg like twitter based link voting system where you make a link popular by tweeting. It also offers the chance for popular tweets to be shown on twittley font page.
www.friendorfollow.com : Check if people you are following are also following you back or not.
www.twtpoll.com : This twitter polling tool is much more professional than strawpoll and offers many more advanced options.
www.twitpic.com : A simple way to share pictures on twitter. Twitpic also lets you see how many times a photo was viewed and supports comments.

www.tweetvolume.com : With tweet volume you can see how many times “keywords” have been discussed on twitter with proper graphs and stats.
www.twitterlinkr.com : Twitterlinkr is more like a twitter link repository to me. It fetches all the links ever shared on twitter and display on one page. Links are categorized and easy to access by niches.
www.secrettweet.com : As the name says you can tweet secretly now just in case you want to tweet and don’t want your name to be showed.

www.twitterpatterns.com : Some beautiful and unique twitter background patterns to put some spice into your twitter home.
www.linkbun.ch : Linkbunch help you share a bunch of links as just one link to keep the mess out. Obviously you can use this service outside of twitter.
www.hahlo.com : Hahlo is for people who don’t like the default look of twitter. It’s just another twitter platform you can access hahlo from mobile as well. It works best with iPhone.
Twitter for WordPress : Twitter for WordPress displays yours latest tweets in your WordPress blog.
www.twitterlocal.net : This is a desktop app based on adobe air that lets you find twitter profiles near your area. You can create social circle with the people near you.
Tweet Suite : This is most useful twitter related wordpress plguin in my case when I was looking to bring tweets related to same post I publish on my blog and display them under my post.
www.destroytwitter.com : An air based desktop client which is largely famous these days and one that I love using. Its still in beta testing.

www.twixxer.com : Twixxer is Greasemonkey (firefox addon) script that helps sharing pictures and videos over twitter. This way of tweeting can open horizons for you that you never imagined.Twitbin : This addon put a sidebar on your firefox from where you can send and read tweets.
Tweecious : This Firefox addon is for twitter + delicious fans, the ones who love to collect links from here and there to make their own link book. This addon helps you to add links from your twitter feed to directly in your delicious profile.
Twitter Search : Twitter search let you search twitter world right where you would normally search on google, the search box on upper right corner of your firefox windows :p
TwitterFox : One of my favourite and mostly used firefox addon. With twitterfox you get a full fledge twitter messenger right inside your firefox window. You can read, reply, retweet DM with twitterfox and it also pops up a little notification when ever you receive a new tweet or @reply.
Twitturl : Let you share the link over twitter that’s currently active on your address bar.
TwitKit : Another good looking fully fledged Firefox twitter sidebar addon.
Twitter Line : Display your friend’s time line Twitter on your browser tool bar.
TwittyTunes : TwittyTunes let you post the song you are currently listening to twitter. You can also share links of the websites you are browsing and videos currently you are playing.
Twitzer : With Twitzer you can send tweets longer than 140 characters.
Power Twitter : This addon enhance the way default twitter website looks and add more functionality to it.
TwitterBar : Tweet right from your firefox address bar.
