In the past month i got about 200 spam emails, at the end of the month when i checked in total i had 5000+ unread emails mostly out of them were spam mails. we actually can not stop spam if its once started like if someone put you in spam list you can’t do anything about it unless he stop sending you spam or stop email sending bot. I know its really disappointing that we can’t do anything if its started but the thing we can do to reduce spam is that don’t let it start at all. Today I’ll share some tips that will help you know how to not let spammers know your email address.

• Don’t give your email address to phishy websites.

Whenever any website ask you to enter your email address make sure the website looks professional and find some friends using the same service before to make sure nothing is wrong because there are many websites on the web which were made just to gather people’s email addresses nest them and put them into spam lists. So judge the website use your detective eye and analyze if the website looks phishy or not

• Never ever directly give your email address as it is.

While using forums, blogs, or any text space where you can write and submit text content never give your email address as it like yourname@gmail.com instead use geeky method like yourname [at] gmail [.] com this way readers can access your email address but bots searching the whole web like hungry dogs looking for email addresses and misuse them cannot see emails written disorderly. • Make image file of your email address.

Another effective way to hide your email address from email hungry bots is to generate image strip of your email address with many free online email image generators and then share those images showing your email address on them this way your email address is cloaked under an image so invisible to spam email bots. example:

• Turn off Email updates you don’t need.

Email updates from different websites, blogs, and forums are exactly not spam but they become annoying when you left that community or stop reading that website. The simple way to get rid of such emails is to get back to that website log-in your account and turn off email updates or maybe there is a link under such email which leads you directly to the page from where you can turn off email updates. I used to receive over 50 emails per day from different blogs, websites, forums which were totally useless to me I simply turned them off and now my inbox seems neat and clean and stuffed with emails I only need.
