Yesterday I was a problem about Grub Loader on linux. It happen when i install other operation system like Windows XP. Maybe it happen on your computer too, so i will share about it for you. How to repair about missing master boot record (MBR) on dual booting operation system.
To do that, you must have a bootable disk. You may also use an USB Stick to make a bootable disk. In Ubuntu you can use unetbootin on /opt directory to do that. Okey, let's do it.
In the example i will use Bootable Live CD. Set boot first on CD/DVD-Room. You can set it on BIOS or use shortkey F12 to select first boot option. After operation system is running. Choose "konsole" to set it like:
#grub
#find /boot/grub/stage1
System will show you partition HD number as root. For example like "(hd0,6)".
#root (hd0,6)
#setup (hd0)
Reboot your system. And enjoy it all.
